Your task this week
Record two ordinary days and identify one genuinely usable opening.
Work through the decision
- Write down the obligation before and after the opening, including travel, changing and setup.
- Choose a familiar activity that is suitable for your current ability. Set your own manageable appointment; the course does not assign a dose.
- Record what actually happened, including a missed or changed plan. Leave days you did not observe unrecorded.
A realistic example
Editorial example: Alex labels lunch as a 30-minute break. Eating and returning to work occupy 20 minutes. The usable opening is closer to ten, so the first decision is whether a short familiar walk fits. Calling the whole break exercise would make the plan look complete while hiding the conflict.
Review before moving on
Which opening survived a normal day? What time did setup consume? Choose one repeatable opportunity rather than filling seven days at once.
